Privacy Policy
Hey there. I’m Rohan, the person running GlobalSpendly. I built this cost‑of‑living comparison tool to help people like you – and me – figure out real expenses before moving to a new US city.
Since I don’t collect sensitive data or sell anything, this privacy policy is pretty simple. But I still want to be transparent about what info this site uses.
1. What data do I collect?
Almost none automatically. The comparison tool on /compare-cities/ runs entirely in your browser – no login, no database, no tracking. When you select cities and see costs, nothing is saved on my server.
The only way I receive any personal info is if you:
- Send me an email at hello@globalspendly.com
- Use the contact form (if you choose to fill it)
In those cases, I only see your name, email address, and whatever message you write. I never share or sell that information.
2. Cookies and tracking
I don’t use tracking cookies for ads or analytics. My hosting provider (like Netlify / WordPress) may keep basic server logs (IP address, browser type) for security reasons, but I don’t access or use those logs for any marketing purpose.
If I ever add a simple analytics tool (like Fathom or Plausible) to understand how many people visit, it will be privacy‑friendly – no personal data.
3. Third‑party links
Sometimes I link to other websites (for example, Numbeo or government pages). I don’t control their privacy practices, so please check their own policies if you’re concerned.
4. Children’s privacy
GlobalSpendly isn’t directed to kids under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect any information from children.
5. Changes to this policy
If I update this page, I’ll change the “last updated” date at the top. I’ll never make sneaky changes – if something big changes, I’ll add a small notice on the homepage.
6. Your rights & contact
You can ask me to delete any email conversation or request what info I have (spoiler: it’s just your email if you wrote to me). Just send a message to:
📧 hello@globalspendly.com
I’ll reply within a couple of days – no robots, just me.
